Who is Mat Cote?
Montreal-based indie/pop artist Mat Cote began writing songs when she was barely 13 years old.
At this vulnerable age, music was the only place where she felt she could belong and pour out her emotions. Soon, started recording her own tracks on a dusty Dell computer almost as old as her.
In March 2020, she released her debut EP "Paper Birds". Her sound could be described as chill pop, but she also takes a lot of inspiration from alternative music.
With her second EP coming out early 2021, she hopes to drag her listeners into a completely different universe with sounds that will make them want to dance from time to time.
